Report

Report:As we approach the business end of the season, the visiting Cardiff B team brought all their big hitters so it was unfortunate the B's were missing their chocolatey number 1 and binary Al to a mysterious wrist injury!

The word went out that MooToon needed a hero and it was 'big sausage' to the rescue. He sizzled and spat and played some tidy squash but Smiffy, with a firm grip on the tongs, showed no signs of weakness and outran the old banger, winning the game 3 nil.

On a day when Wales banned greyhound racing, the golden retriever looked worried, his skinny legs trembling with fear. Tonight's fluffy rabbit was the appropriately named Tailby, who set off around the court waiting for Tim to give chase. Tim gave everything but like any decent mechanical lure, Rich did enough to always stay just out of reach.

The silver fox on the other hand was feeling complacent, safe in the knowledge that fox hunting had been banned in Wales for over 20 years. But Angus (Goose to his friends), so Angus, had other plans. He made out he was just 'trail hunting' but everyone knew, and in 3 games, Si was a gonner.

It was like old times for The Ice Man tonight as he found himself playing at 1 again, his old stomping ground. He slipped back into the role effortlessly and picked up where he left off by losing. It was like he'd never been away! He had a tough opponent though in Tom who has excellent taste in football teams and is decent at squash too. If Chris hadn't been injured he'd have won knee botha!

With only 1 point on the board it was all on the captain to bag something positive for the team. Dan was back from his latest mid-season adventure and made a sluggish start to the game giving Phil an easy 1 nil lead. The chat on the balcony was all about how early we should have the food ready but the northern Wendy house wasn't having it and dug in well to make Phil earn his dinner.

And after a bruising night for the B's it was over to the rugby club for post match analysis over pies, chips and a mountain of beans. What a life!
