| Report: | David Howe retired injured at end of game 3.
A see saw match saw some excellent matches on the night. Ben Purchase was a clinical winner for Bridgend at 5 with some precision squash while Brett Mclennan showed some wizadry to level the match at 1-1. Big Cam, the man with a boom stick of a forehand took an early lead in the battle of the lefties at 3. But it was Rhys "Pablo" Prosser who stayed the course to nudge Bridgend into the lead on the night. With Dai Howe taking an early lead at Number 1 it looked good for the Bridgend Bulldogs but Dom Moorehead exposed the fragile nature of the big lad's body and the 18 stoner fell apart at the seams under a barrage of attacking squash.
So it was between Dai "Dolphin" Thomas and Tom "LaC" Rosser for the decider and they did not disappoint the crowds! A battle royale unfolded with some excellent squash in gladiatorial fashion. Superb match with Tom taking a rather snug 3-1 win and with it the "Man of the Match" title. Great match all played in a great spirit. |
