String 1 game: Ryan [Llantrisant] unfortunately had to retire after the 2nd game. Please don't put on squash levels.
Full Match Report:
It was the 'battle of the brummies' in the first game as String 3 kicked off first. Some nice squash from both players in what was a 'bostin' game, which finished with big Nick on top!! Or was it the other way around?
Meanwhile, Anna lost to Josh in a close game which ended 3-1 to Josh and was played in great spirit.
Gian was up next and needed to win to keep Cowbridge in the match [but didn't!]. And whilst he improved in each game it was too little too late and Ang from Llantrisant took all the points.
Game over for Cowbridge but with pride still to play for, James [the tin man] Roberts, took on Rich in the string 2 match. A close game with some cracking rallies and some heavy breathing. The tin man, lived up to his name and failed to successfully drop any balls during the game but manged to drop a few names in the bar afterwards.
The spectators began to gather for the final game, which started well but ended prematurely when Llantrisant's no1 Ryan had to retire injured after 2 games. He probably should have walked off after 1 game but fair play to Ryan for trying to stick it out as long as possible.
With the match over, all that was left to do was to head over to the rugby club for some top pies and a few cool beers. Well done Llantrisant.
