Report:Final Report [By Tim E]

All aboard the MooToon. Tickets were sold out early as history was in the making tonight. Having secured the title of champions of the world (South Central 2), would the Bs make it 14 from 14? It only felt fitting to round off the season against the C team, battling for mid table dominance.

With such depth in squad the Bs had such confidence in this fixture that they rested The Raging Bull. A formidable opponent. It was like Man United dropping Phillip Neville in the class of 92.

1st up. The clash of the Captains. The Northern Wendyhouse vs The Highlander. Dan, unbeaten in the league this season owing to a tactical mid season holiday had felt he was ready for bigger stuff this week. My sources indicated a cap for the A team had lasted a full 15 minutes. He didn't sweat though. The Highlander was not an easy opponent. Rarely does he give less than it all. Unfortunately it all wasn't enough and the Geordie made Pan Haggerty of his opponent (for those ignorant. Its a classic Geordie dish of potato. Mashed.) 1-0 Invincibles.

Next up the Golden Retriever vs The Berg Nerd. Rumours have been circulating. What is actually in those packs of Red Leicester Mini Cheddars that the Retriever consumes prior to his games? Suspiciously his team mates have also been spotted snaffling packs of these children's snacks. Fortunately for the energetic mutt the call for drugs testing in the lower leagues has landed on deaf ears. Its safe to say Luca doesn't know much about performance enhancement. Unfortunately a PhD knowledge of ice bergs was not super effective against his opponent who moved faster than his glacial models had predicted. 2-0 Unbeatables

Step in the Real Ice Man. His opponent tonight, The Tin Man. Fresh from the Yellow Brick Road seemed to play with heart tonight. He quickly accumulated 14 points. Sadly this is not quite enough. Then it was as if the tin was calling for him. He tried to fight the urge but it was just too much. The club was filled with the tinny noise of James bottling it and in the words of the Iceman... He knows. 3-0 Unstoppables.

The Master chocolatier vs The Beast of Broadhaven. Two very different genres. The Beast cares not for delicately dusted truffles. The artisan looked irritated by his lack of appreciation for delicacy but changed the menu at the last minute. The soft velvety mousse was just too much for the brute and he fell victim. Not the first I might add. 4-0 Indomitables.

Now for the crowd pleaser. The Silver Fox vs Mr Tickles. What a match. The Fox looking to close off a perfect season. Mr T the banana skin in his way. At 2-0 down Si looked like he'd succumbed to Tickles' energy at 14-7 down in the 3rd. Tickles had more chances to finish than Hugh Hefner celebrating his 70th at the Playboy Mansion. Alas similar to the secret CSC shagger, Si only needed one. Into the 5th game it went and right down to the wire. Si eventually slipping on the preverbal banana skin. A superb win for the C team maestro. 4-1 Insurmountables.

Match debrief was over the usual. Pie, chips and beans. James dressed up as a ninja whose trousers were too short. Si chatted up Sean in the corner regaling tales of his old fly fishing days and we came to the conclusion that mushy peas were definitely not beans. The championship and 272 points in a season. Now that's a wrap. Merry Christmas all. See you next year in a league bearing no resemblance to any current standings.
